UPDATED 7/21/15
**NEW**
Commissions currently closed!
I will have 2 slots available at a time; after I have taken on 2 slots, please expect to wait up to 2 weeks to hear back about being wait-listed, since I don't want to grow a huge waiting list again. I'll try to keep this updated at least daily based on what slots are open and closed, so if you see an update saying that the slots are closed, please DON'T message me until you see that they're open again. I'm hoping to take up to 3 days on each plushie so that I can move fairly quickly, though I think some might be doable in a day or two. We'll see how this goes!
PLEASE NOTE: I would prefer to do Pokemon commissions, and I would really rather not do Digimon for awhile (especially Guilmon), so if you're absolutely dying for one, please be aware that I might charge a little bit more than normal for these plushies (like $10-$20 more than I usually would).
Current Info Section:

Slot 2:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
General commission info
Types of plushies I can do:
fandom characters (animal/monster types, humans, possibly objects); ex Guilmon, Cyndaquil, Toon Link
vehicles; ex cars, planes
anything I've already made; once I make something I have at least the sketches if not full or almost full patterns
basically anything else depending on complexity and/or size
Plushies I'm reluctant to do (but can be talked into doing):
My Little Pony (there are so many other talented pony plushers here)
very complex things that have lots of parts/crazy designs that I wouldn't be able to paint (for instance, I don't think I'd want to make a Transformer, and Amaterasu from Okami would be what I consider complicated)
extra large plushies (see next section)
Pricing/Sizing:
NOTE: The following are estimates based on what I consider average-complexity plushies; prices will increase for more complex ones (ex a 12" Guilmon will be more expensive than a 12" Agumon)
"small" plushies=under 12" (about 30cm) at the longest dimension; $20-$45
"medium"=12-18" (about 30-46cm) at the longest dimension; $50-$100
"large"=19-24" (about 48-61cm) at the longest dimension; $110-$200
for "extra-large," note that any plushie larger than 24" will be over $200 due to the amount of fabric used, the time it would take to make it (ESPECIALLY Digimon...all those toes ugh), and the crazy amounts of stuffing I'd need.
Know that since these are unique (as in I'm the only one who's made my plushies), custom made plushies, the prices aren't going to be what they are for official merchandise; a lot of time and care goes into making these and this is basically my second job, so the prices reflect what I feel is as close to fair as possible for what I should be getting paid for these.
Shipping info
I ship through USPS (United States Postal Service), and shipping price depends on how big of a box I have to use and the shipping speed (although shipping speed within the US is funny and sometimes priority shipping is cheaper than regular...or at least it's cheap enough)
I do ship internationally to anywhere that accepts shipment from the USA; international shipping costs are about $20 more expensive than shipping within the US
shipping costs for small plushies tend to be $10 or less; I think the most I've seen for a larger plushie was $40
I reuse boxes from purchases, so don't panic if the box says something like "Shop NBC" on it XD
Payment info:
Paypal is my preferred method of payment, though other options can be arranged (not cards, unfortunately)
I am now allowing for art trades valued at up to $40, though my willingness to do an art trade will vary based on my interests and what people are capable of trading; please don't feel bad if I decline an art trade offer =]
As of now, I accept payment once I finish an order and before I ship it out
I am willing to work out installment payments if that would work best for you
Estimated time frames
Unfortunately, for custom plushies I don't really have a set time in which I can finish them because I have to work around school, my other job, and taking free time to keep myself from getting stressed out or unmotivated to sew (trying to push yourself to do something when you really don't feel like it is rough). It could be as fast as a week or two, or it might end up taking a month. I feel bad about the long wait time, but since I do have so many things that I have to balance, I can't really change this. I'm really trying to get faster and more productive with my sewing, but until I graduate next year please have patience with my slowness.
For Pelerus, just based on what I've been able to do so far I should be able to make one a week during school times and probably two or three a week during the summer/winter (in the best case scenario).
IMPORTANT: If we are in the stages of making an order (working out what plushie you want/sizes/prices etc) or I contact you when I've finished a plushie and I do not hear back from you within 10 days of my message, the order will be forfeit (I will either give up on making it or I will put it up for sale) until I hear back from you.
Peleru info
Varieties:
cat, dog, bear, rabbit, owl, fox, raccoon, dragon, pig (examples to come)
the cat, bear, rabbit, owl, and dog can be made with any two colors, and the fabric can either be solid colors or fabrics with prints (preferably from Jo-Ann's); fabric used will be worked out for each order
panda, fox, and raccoon plushies will have default colors (might have two versions of the raccoon)
wings come in two (possibly three) varieties; examples to come
current fabric samples (outdated; will update soon)
Sizing/Pricing:
mini=7" tall, $15+shipping
small=12" tall; $35+shipping
large=17" tall; $50+shipping
panda, owl, fox, and raccoon plushies will be an extra $5 since they're more complex
wings on plushies will be an additional $5
Other info:
"Peleru" is a mashup of the Italian and Japanese words for stuffed animal: "peluche" and "nuigurumi"
the colored part of the stomach is a sakura (cherry blossom) petal
Sakura Dragon info
Varieties:
Snake-style, Chinese-style
You can request for the sakura petal on the tail to be stuffed or unstuffed
Each dragon type uses two fabric selections, which you can customize from my current fabric samples (or from any fleece/cotton/ultra cuddle fabric from joann.com or fabric.com)
Sizing/Pricing (tentative):
18" long: $50 for snake-style, $60 for Chinese-style (smaller size to come, possibly a larger one as well)
$5 extra for a non-minky ultra-cuddle style fabric, $7 extra for minky
Other things to know:
I design the patterns myself, though I sometimes base my parts off of what other people have done, since I'm still learning how to do patterns (and geometry makes my head spin sometimes) IMPORTANT: I will not give out patterns for any of my plushies EXCEPT for Mr. Mew, and only because I found it to be extremely frustrating that no one had any available even though the only way to get a Mr. Mew is to make him yourself. I don't like the idea of selling patterns (it's too hard for me to figure out what a pattern would be worth, and I just don't want to mess with that), and it takes a large amount of time and effort to write up detailed instructions for the pattern, so I'm not going to be doing that anymore.
Everything I make is handmade, so each plushie is a bit different.
Right now I get materials from Jo-Ann's, fabric.com, and joggles.com; I mainly use fleece for character/animal plushies and deer suede for human doll plushies, but I can take requests for other types of materials like minky (though the prices will be $7 extra).
I don't have any experience with embroidered eyes (I've been doing painted eyes) and don't have a machine, but maybe I'll try to get one if there's a demand for it (which there isn't at the moment).
I think this goes without saying, but my plushies shouldn't be machine washed (they can be put through the dryer, however-gentle cycle/low setting). I stuff them with polyfill, which is washable, but since I paint the eyes and some other details the paint might crack, and I can't guarantee that the stuffing would reform properly (plus most of the large plushies probably wouldn't fit very well, anyway XP). Just stick to using a wet cloth or those stain removal sticks if something gets spilled on them.
All sales are final-as in, once the plushie has been seen by the commissioner, accepted, paid for, and shipped, there will be no refunds. In extreme cases which cause the plushie to be lost/destroyed, ie fires/natural disasters, I may be able to make a new one at a reduced price, but this would be highly circumstantial and hopefully will never happen.
Please let me know if you would be interested in commissioning me by sending me a note or by emailing me at bluesakuraplushies@gmail.com. Tell me any specific details you would want, like types of material or any specific way you want the pattern/eyes done, etc. I'll send you/upload a picture of the finished product when I'm done so that you can review it and make sure it's to your liking, and then we can work out payment/shipping and such. Thanks in advance!
Plushies for sale: Agumon and small Biyomon
Hey all, it's been awhile! I hope everyone has been doing well!
I've had these plushies sitting around for awhile, and since I'm working hard to save for my wedding next April, I've finally decided to post them. Agumon is just like my original one (around 20" 'standing'), and the Biyomon is smaller than my original, about 12-14" tall. These guys need good homes, so please message me if you're interested! $85+shipping for Agu, $45+shipping for Biyo.
New job!
Hi everyone,
Today I'll be starting a new job with an elementary school aftercare program! I'm very excited, especially since I recently got my first car in order to have transportation there and back. Unfortunately this means I'm not really going to be active here for awhile. At the start of the summer I felt like my creativity and plushing-stamina had come back, but after making only a few plushies I was drained again. I think I just need a long, long break from commissions and sewing in general. It feels like such a chore now, and I don't want to create mediocre pieces or stress myself out because of that feeling. I have two plushies and
I'm a graduate! Resuming activity (edit: plushies)
EDIT 5-15: Originally I was thinking that I'd be done with plushies, but I'm TENTATIVELY thinking that I might not be. I still have waiting-list plushies lined up, so please do not message me YET if you haven't already contacted me about plushies, but I might open up 2 commission slots after those are done. MAYBE. So I guess if you've been burning to commission something, look forward to an update sometime in June, but nothing is guaranteed.
Hey everyone, I graduated yesterday!!! Hopefully no more school for me! Now I get to worry about finding a job, but for the moment I have a fe
I'm back! (For now)
It's been forever since I last updated or anything, but I'm not gone for good! Here's a quick list of what's what:
1) AGUMON PLUSH FOR SALE! Basically the same as this one: Note me if you're interested!
2) Will get around to finishing outstanding plushies (I'm sorry it's taken so long T.T)
3) Opening 2 commissions for hand-painted textile work! T-shirts, canvas bags, hats, whatever! As long as you can give me a description of what you want and/or a reference picture, I can paint it for you! I don't have any official prices or anything yet, but I know that I'll require an initial deposit before I start working (probably something like 10-1
